  • Prevent a potential C-Section delivery

What is the Webster Technique?

Your body undergoes many changes during pregnancy. Those physiological and endocrinological changes can result in a misaligned spine or out of place joints. The Webster Technique allows chiropractors to specialize in realigning and balancing your pelvic bones, muscles, joints, and ligaments. Specifically, the Webster Technique is concerned with subluxation in the pelvic and sacral region of the spine.

By creating a spacious, correctly-aligned environment, you encourage your baby to move into the head-down position naturally. This helps avoid breech, posterior, or sideways birthing positions. Prenatal adjustments can create better pelvic movement, reduce nervous system interference, and balance musculoskeletal or ligament stress. Combined, these factors create a better, more supportive environment for you and your baby.

What should I expect from a Prenatal Chiropractic Adjustment?

Dr. Martin and Dr. Adams can adapt to face-up adjustments as needed and use their Activator tools for a gentler touch. Our chiropractors will primarily focus on reducing symptoms and pain in the abdomen, pelvic floor, back, and shoulders. You can also expect specific care for your belly to keep your fetus healthy. The Webster technique offers safe modifications for all stages of pregnancy. There are no contraindications for chiropractic care while pregnant, either—regular adjustments actually help the pelvic floor and birthing process.

You can start your prenatal treatments at any time, even before becoming pregnant, with a family planning and fertility support appointment.

Our care doesn’t stop at birth, either! We offer appointments for newborns, infants, and children. If your baby is struggling to breastfeed, experiencing stomach trouble, or needing a little tune up, we can help.
