What is the Neuropathy Care?
Our neuropathy care uses a comprehensive, individualized approach that may combine multiple non-invasive treatments to address symptoms associated with peripheral nerve dysfunction and support comfort, sensation, mobility, balance, and overall quality of life.
What is the initial consultation like?
The initial neuropathy evaluation is approximately 90 minutes and includes a thorough patient history and comprehensive examination.
The evaluation may assess:
- Sensation
- Reflexes
- Muscle strength
- Balance
- Coordination
- Circulation
- Gait
- Neurological function
- Musculoskeletal function
- How symptoms affect daily activities and quality of life
Dr. Martin or Dr. Adams will also review when your symptoms began and how they have progressed, your underlying health conditions, medications, previous treatments, and any available imaging or diagnostic testing.
What treatments might I expect?
Depending on the our doctors’ findings. your neuropathy care may incorporate:
- Chiropractic adjustments
- SoftWave therapy
- Hyperbaric oxygen therapy
- Physical rehabilitation
- Electrical stimulation
- Nutrition and supplementation
- Therapeutic exercise
- Functional laboratory testing
- Soft-tissue therapies
- Other appropriate supportive modalities
